MISSION. The Center for Law, Energy & the Environment (CLEE) at Berkeley Law develops policy solutions to the most pressing environmental and energy issues at the state, local, and national levels.
COMMUNITY. CLEE is the heart of Berkeley Law's environmental law program, organizing events with the many student groups on campus and working with our environmental and energy alumni.

Climate Change:
- Harvesting Clean Energy: How California Can Deploy Large-Scale Renewable Energy Projects on Appropriate Farmland (October 2011). This is a project of our Climate Change and Business Research Initiative.
- Drops of Energy Conserving Urban Water in California to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions (May 2011). A project of our Climate Change and Business Research Initiative.
Land Use:
- CLEE has released a new report with UCLA and UC Davis Law on SB 226, California's effort to streamline environmental review for infill projects. The report can be accessed here (April 23, 2012).
Energy:
- California's Transition to Local Renewable Energy: 12,000 Megawatts by 2020 (February 27, 2012). More details on this draft report are available here. The final report is slated for release on June 5, 2012.
