UC-ACCORD
UC ACCORD, All Campus Consortium On Research for Diversity, is an interdisciplinary, multi-campus research center devoted to a more equitable distribution of educational resources and opportunities in California’s diverse public schools and universities. This distinctive UC voice serves as an information and research clearinghouse and catalyst for promoting the delivery of high-quality, equitable schooling to all students. ACCORD harnesses the research expertise of the University of California to identify strategies that will increase college preparation, access, and retention. Policymakers, researchers, teachers, outreach staff, and students all benefit from this source of reliable information for equitable education policy and practice.
California Higher Education Equity Working Group of the Center for Latino Policy Research
Through a grant from the system-wide University of California Committee on Latino Research, CLPR has organized a California Higher Education Equity Working Group to assess and identify the best practices that facilitate the retention of underrepresented undergraduate students, the successful completion of four-year university programs, and the enhanced competitiveness for admission into graduate and professional schools. Specific goals include the preparation of extramural proposals for collaborative research and training projects related to higher education equity issues in California.
California Policy Research Center
A public service program charged with applying the extensive research expertise of the UC system to the analysis, development and implementation of state policy. Topics covered by the program's sponsored research and publications include agriculture, criminal justice, cultural diversity and demographic change, economic policy, education, governance, environmental policy, health, housing/land use planning, employment, and social services.
Center for Studies in Higher Education
The Center for Studies in Higher Education at UC Berkeley is a multi-disciplinary research and policy center on higher education oriented to California, the nation, and comparative international issues. CSHE promotes discussion among university leaders, government officials, and academics; assists policy-making by providing a neutral forum for airing contentious issues; and keeps the higher education world informed of new initiatives and proposals. The Center's research aims to inform current debate about higher education policy and practice.
The Harvard Civil Rights Project
Our mission is to help renew the civil rights movement by bridging the worlds of ideas and action, and by becoming a preeminent source of intellectual capital and a forum for building consensus within that movement.
