Antonio Rossmann received his B.A. in 1963 and his J.D. in 1971 from Harvard University, then served as a law clerk to Justice Mathew Tobriner of the California Supreme Court. Through his San Francisco law firm, Rossmann represents state and local agencies and private parties in major land-use and water disputes. He was the first public advisor to the California Energy Commission and the first executive director of the National Center for Preservation Law, and he has served as chair of the California State Bar Committee on the Environment.
He has taught as a visiting professor at Boalt Hall; Stanford University; University of California, Los Angeles; and University of California, Hastings College of the Law. He was a Fulbright lecturer on constitutional law at the University of Tokyo and Rikkyo University. Rossmann teaches Land-Use Planning and Water Law.
