The Center for Clinical Education, Boalt Hall’s in-house clinical facility, was established in 1998 to enable students, working under close faculty supervision, to represent clients before courts, administrative agencies, legislatures and international tribunals. The center’s mission includes three primary goals:
to afford students an unsurpassed opportunity to learn about the law, government institutions, professional ethics, and the lawyering process;
to provide the highest-quality legal representation to disadvantaged and underserved groups; and
to make significant contributions to the development of the law and legal systems at home and abroad.
