LaRon Hogg is a Senior Program Associate at the Berkeley Center for Criminal Justice. Prior to joining BCCJ, she worked as an attorney specializing in delinquency law and policy for the Center for Families, Children and the Courts at the Judicial Council of California, Administrative Office of the Courts. She also worked as a deputy legislative counsel for the Office of Legislative Counsel in Sacramento, where she served as liaison to the Assembly Public Safety Committee. A cum laude graduate from the University of San Francisco School of Law, Hogg was an editor for the Law Review and author of the first published academic article on California's Juvenile Deferred Entry of Judgment law for juvenile offenders. She is currently a contributing author for California's leading juvenile law text, California Juvenile Courts: Practice and Procedure. Prior to law school, Hogg spent nearly twelve years as a probation officer in Santa Clara County, working with both juvenile and adult offenders.
