University Police officers are available 24 hours a day (1 Sproul Hall).

Campus Security Provisions
Campus Patrols
The University of California Police use uniformed and non-uniformed officers to patrol the campus in cars, on bicycles, on motorcycles, and on foot 24 hours a day. These patrols are conducted on the roadways and walkways of the campus, as well as in buildings.
Lighting/Emergency Telephones
The University has installed emergency telephones, and has enhanced night lighting on campus. Most elevators are equipped with emergency telephones on the wall of the elevator cab. On most types of emergency telephones, pushing the red button on the telephone panel will automatically connect you to UCPD. Also, any caller can connect to emergency assistance from any campus phone or any pay phone on campus property by dialing 9-1-1; no coins are needed for this call.
Calling 9-1-1 provides a direct link to UCPD, and identifies the caller's location.
More detailed information on what to do in an emergency as well as evacuation procedures are available here: http://www.law.berkeley.edu/intranet/facilities/safety/. Each building occupant is responsible for reading this information and being aware of these procedures.
