Energy and Clean Technology Law Certificate
The Certificate of Specialization in Clean Technology Law encourages students to develop a broad background in fundamental areas of the law while receiving advanced training in environmental, energy, intellectual property, and finance law.
Requirements
For JD Students - Students who wish to earn the certificate must take Energy Regulation and the Environment, Environmental Law and Policy, Corporate Finance and Law, and Introduction to Intellectual Property; complete four other advanced or specialized courses in the areas of Finance & Energy Business; IP / Entrepreneurship & Energy Science / Technology; and Environmental Law & Energy Policy; participate in one extra-curricular activity; and write a research paper relating to energy or clean technology law or policy. For LLM Students - Students must complete 16 units of relevant courses in the areas of Finance & Energy Business; IP / Entrepreneurship & Energy Science / Technology; and Environmental Law & Energy Policy. See here for more information about Certificate Requirements: LLM.
Application for 2012 Certificate of Specialization
To apply for the 2012 Certificate of Specialization in Energy and Clean Technology Law, please download and complete no later than April 19, 2012: (1) the application, (2) the authorization form allowing a faculty member to access your official transcript, (3) your resume, and (4) the questionnaire, for use at graduation and to stay in contact with you post-graduation.
To submit the application materials, either deliver them to the CLEE Administrator at the Berkeley Law Telegraph Offices at 2850 Telegraph Avenue, Suite 335, or scan and email them to clee@law.berkeley.edu.

Certificate Ceremony 2012
The graduation ceremony for environmental law certificate recipients and energy and clean technology law certificate recipients will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2012 from 4 to 6pm, in Boalt Hall Room 100. This ceremony is for both JD and LLM graduates. Family and friends are warmly invited.
