Benefits of Sponsorship
BCLT continues to offer an unparalleled curriculum and an exceptional cycle of events for students, practitioners and industry leaders, bridging the worlds of academia, legal practice and public policy.
Sponsorship Benefits You and Our Students
BCLT offers exceptional opportunities for attorneys to interact with Boalt students and showcase your firm through Career Fairs, Roundtable Events, Evening Receptions, the Law & Technology Mentor Program, Resume Books, and Lunchtime Presentations.
BCLT provides primary funding to Moot Court for its Intellectual Property law, Technology law and Entertainment law Competitions. We work closely with the Berkeley Technology Law Journal students on our Lunchtime Presentation series, the Annual Review issue, and the Symposium issue. BCLT provides financial and administrative support to eight student groups including: Berkeley Technology Law Journal (BTLJ), the Patent Law Society, boalt.org, the Sports and Entertainment Law Society (SELS), BERC@Boalt (Berkeley Energy & Resources Collaborative), the Healthcare & Biotechnology Law Society, Berkeley Consumer Advocacy and Protection Society (CAPS), and Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM).
Research & Curriculum
BCLT has seven faculty Directors, all of whom continue to produce groundbreaking research and publications that have an impact on public policy. BCLT supports this work in various ways, including funding for student Research Assistants. Our curriculum comprises more than 20 courses in the law and technology area, including a unique first-year elective, Introduction to Intellectual Property, and the nation’s first law, technology and public policy clinic. BCLT also administers the Law & Technology Certificate Program, which recognizes students who take advantage of these offerings.
Conferences & Events
BCLT offers an exceptional cycle of events for students, practitioners and industry leaders, bridging the worlds of academia, legal practice and public policy. These events provide opportunities for your attorneys to showcase your technology law practice to our students, to interact with leading academics and policy-makers, and to promote your firm to in-house counsel from major companies and to entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
Sponsors will continue to have unique opportunities to meet students interested in Intellectual Property, Internet Law, Privacy Law and Greentech. These will include lunchtime presentations, evening receptions, and job fairs. For a listing of past events, please click here.
