Clinic Director Deirdre Mulligan put forth an article entitled "Enforcing Privacy Rights Symposium 2002: Introduction," which was published in the Hastings Law Journal. The article discusses the 2002 Enforcing Privacy Rights Symposium, which discussed privacy concerns in the post-9/11 world. After the 2001 terrorist attacks, privacy concerns were shifted to U.S. responsiveness to external threats. The symposium discussed current privacy enforcement, and whether individual privacy in protected by statutory protections.
