Death Penalty Clinic Graduates Give Back To Boalt
The class of 2005 Death Penalty Clinic graduates presented Dean Edley with a check in the amount of $3,000, representing the money they raised as part of the 2005 Class Campaign and earmarked for the Death Penalty Clinic. The class of 2005 has already achieved a record 76 percent participation in giving for their class campaign overall. The Boalt Hall Alumni Association matches class campaign gifts 2-to-1 .
Students in the Death Penalty Clinic work under the direct supervision of the clinic's director, Elisabeth Semel, and Professors Ty Alper and Charles Weisselberg. The clinic opened its doors in August 2001, and its mission is to offer a program that helps students develop outstanding legal skills and serve clients facing capital punishment.6/8/2005
