Death Penalty Lecture Features Professor Semel

Professor Elisabeth Semel is one of the death penalty scholars delivering the 2006 McCoy Memorial Lecture on Monday, April 10, at Berkeley’s Graduate Theological Union (GTU). The talk, “Punishment and Redemption: The Death Penalty in America,” features Semel, a clinical professor of law and director of Boalt’s Death Penalty Clinic, and Judith Kay, a religion professor at the University of Puget Sound and author of Murdering Myths: The Story Behind the Death Penalty.

Their talk takes place at 4:30 p.m. in the boardroom at the GTU’s library, 2400 Ridge Road, Berkeley. Admission is free and open to the public, but an RSVP is appreciated to 510-649-2420 or jburrows@gtu.edu.
