Classroom learning is one thing. Real-world lawyering is another. Experience counts heavily with employers, and our clinical programs enable students to put theory into practice.

Berkeley Law’s clinics—one in the community, three in the law school—are directed by full-time faculty members who are highly regarded experts in their fields. Classroom seminars provide students with the necessary foundation in relevant law, and hands-on casework builds the lawyering skills for working in a team for clients. We choose students for their passion and potential—not grades—ensuring that the clinics are staffed by students and faculty who are equally driven.
