Applications for Visiting Scholars Program
The Berkeley Institute for Jewish Law and Israel Studies invites applications for visiting scholars for 2013-14 and 2014-2015. There is no deadline for applications at this time and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The Institute will also consider applications for periods of time that vary from one month duration to the full academic year.
1.Applicants must submit a full curriculum vitae.
2.Applicants must submit a letter of interest, specifying the time period they wish to be in residence at the Institute.
3.Applicants must submit a letter describing their proposed program of research or study.
4.Applicants must indicate their source of funding while visiting Berkeley, e.g. sabbatical pay, scholarship, government funding, personal funds, etc. Visiting scholars may be subject to administrative or visa fees.
Among the benefits of being a visiting scholar at the Institute for Jewish Law and Israeli Law, Economy and Society are: library privileges at the Law School and at all campus libraries; invitation to our monthly Israel studies colloquium; scholarly exchanges; UCB campus privileges, such as athletic facilities and permission to audit classes; and, when possible, assignment to shared or other office space and use of computer, internet, and other facilities.
