Jessica Marie Gutierrez is currently a Student Researcher for the Center on Reproductive Rights and Justice (CRRJ) in Berkeley, CA. She is also a senior attending the University of California, Berkeley majoring in American Studies. In addition, to being both a full-time student and CRRJ researcher she was selected this spring to serve as a member of the Vice Chancellor’s Student Affairs Advisory Council for 2013-2014. As a member, she will provide counsel to Vice Chancellor Harry Le Grande concerning the quality of student life and the co-curricular experience.  

Prior to being a full-time student at the University of California, Berkeley, she was a Field Representative for former California State Assemblymember Mary Hayashi. In spring 2011, Jessica graduated from Chabot College in Hayward, CA with highest honors. While attending Chabot College she served as the Founder of the Work Smarter Not Harder Series, Executive Legislative Director and President of the Associated Students of Chabot College, and a Member of the Chancellor’s and Academic Policy Committee. Jessica is a pre-law student and hopes to use her education, experiences, passion and dedication to one day make a positive impact in her community as a successful lawyer.
