Rebecca Gindi is the Law Student Researcher for the Center on Reproductive Rights and Justice. Prior to attending UC Berkeley School of Law, Rebecca graduated magna cum laude from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a Minor in Women’s Studies. As an undergraduate, she served as a campaign organizer for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles on the No on Proposition 4 Campaign, a parental notification initiative. She subsequently founded VOX, a student group that lobbied for affordable access to reproductive healthcare in Sacramento, and provided support to teen mothers through Planned Parenthood’s Teen Success Program. Since attending law school, she served as a summer associate at Sanford Heisler, LLP, a boutique class action litigation firm specializing in gender and race discrimination and wage and hour employment litigation. Rebecca was also a clinical student at the East Bay Community Law Center’s Clean Slate Practice, where she represented clients seeking to dismiss and/or reduce their criminal convictions.
