Information Systems & Technology
The Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) department provides computing support for students, faculty, and staff of Berkeley Law. We also provide support for telephone and voice systems.
The School of Law's current computing facilities include many state-of-the-art technologies, including a 100MB switched network, high-speed workstations, wireless connectivity, and a Windows Server 2003 network file server for file and print sharing. To prevent the loss of user data, file servers are backed up nightly (backups are kept for 30 days). IS&T also provides mail messaging, an online calendar and directory, and web and database services. Our systems are available 24/7, 365 days a year, except for periodic planned maintenance.
We strive to provide users with a secure, stable computing environment. For this reason, all equipment accessing our network must meet our computing standards. To assist faculty who are purchasing computing equipment with their faculty budget, we provide assistance to ensure that equipment meets our standards and is the most cost-effective solution available.
