Noah Novogrodsky, co-director of the Center for International Human Rights Law andAdvocacy and law professor at the University of Wyoming, College of Law discusses his article “Rethinking Montevideo: Somalia and the International Legal Imagination.” Novogrodsky argues that the international community's legal and political understanding of Somalia strongly suggests the need to rethink criteria for statehood.
